ABOUT...

Red and Reed play a mix of classic and original blues, rock, and jazz in the Americana tradition. Depending on the venue, Red and Reed may perform as an acoustic duo, trio, or full band.

Red and Reed moved to Greenville, SC in 2008 when Red accepted a position at Furman University. Before moving to Greenville, Red and Reed were based in Illinois. Red studied at the Berklee College of Music, and has played shows opening for major artists including Little Feat, Blue Oyster Cult, the Guess Who, Cross Canadian Ragweed, David Alan Coe, and Rare Earth. Reed shares his father’s love of Americana music, and studies jazz at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville. Despite his father’s warnings about the dangers of a music addiction, Reed has developed into a fine jazz and blues guitarist.
